COST

Yosemite Summit Registration Fee is: $725
Sticker shock? Don’t let cost be your only consideration. The issue is first “do I need this retreat” - if the answer is yes, trust God to provide for the expense. Kidology is not budgeting any profit into this event. It is designed as a break-even event to invest deeply in a small group of children’s pastors. Many of the expenses to Kidology to create and host this event are not being included in the registration fee. It is a costly endeavor, but we are seeking to creatively keep the cost to a minimum but without sacrificing the purpose of the retreat, or the needs of the guys to have a comfortable and refreshing time. (Yes, camping would be cheaper… but this is a sabbatical, not survival training!)
Registration includes:
4 nights of lodging, transportation during the retreat, and most meals.
Included Meals:
Sunday: Lunch en route we will stop to eat, and attendees will each pay for their meal. Sunday dinner included.
Monday-Wednesday: all meals included. There is a full kitchen at the lodge. Breakfast and dinner at the lodge, we prepare our meals. For lunch will be packing a sack lunch, with a variety of options.
Wednesday night we will go out for dinner at a special place, also included.
Thursday: Breakfast, lunch will be enroute to airport/hotel and guys will be on their own for food.
Possible additional expenses:
Airfare and/or car rental to/from event. (we will have a group van during the retreat)
Hotel lodging Saturday night before and Thursday night, around $50 a night, or $100 total.
If you are flying in, please use Sacramento International Airport (SMF). If you arrive between 10am and 8pm on Saturday most likely your host will be able to pick you up. If not, SuperShuttle (800-bluevan) is under $20 to hotel.
If you drive in, (your car or rental) or choose to drive from the airport, you may arrive at the lodge anytime after 4pm, but before 7pm please for orientation and our first meeting. (It is a four hour drive from SMF to the lodge)
The registration fee, obviously, does not include any personal equipment needed for hiking in Yosemite. We need to pack light and smart, and a detailed list of what to bring (and not bring) is posted on the BRING page.
